HC to declare decision on reservation for state activists on 28th September
Nainital: The High Court of Uttarakhand will announce its verdict on the reservation quota for the state activists on 28th September. The bench for the petition filed under “In the matter of activists and others” is headed jointly by Justice Sudhanshu Dhuliya and Justice US Dhyani.
The bench after hearing arguments from both sides on whether the state activists should get a 10% reservation quota, will announce its verdict on the 28th of this month. It may be recalled that earlier this year in March the state assembly unanimously passed the Uttarakhand Statehood Activists Bill, 2015, to grant 10% reservation to over 11,000 statehood activists, including about 1,100 women, in jobs across state government departments.
