Uttarakhand daily Corona update: 429 new cases on November 17
On Tuesday, 429 new Corona patients were found in the state and three infected people died. With this, the total number of patients in the state has been 68887 while the number of dead has reached 1119.
According to Health Bulletin released by Health Department, on Tuesday, 22 cases were from Almora, 14 in Bageshwar, 17 in Chamoli, 8 in Champawat, 142 in Dehradun, 18 in Haridwar, 52 in Nainital, 23 in Pauri, 35 in Pithoragarh, 36 in Rudraprayag, 12 in Tehri, 19 in US Nagar while 31 were in Uttarkashi district.
A total of 440 patients were discharged from various hospitals of the state on Tuesday after recovering. With this, the total number of patients cured in the state has increased to 62995. While 4165 patients are being treated in various hospitals of the state. On Tuesday, a total of 11162 samples were sent from across the state for investigation.
The report of 8145 came while the report of about 15 thousand samples is yet to come. The recovery rate of patients in the state is 91.45 percent while the infection rate is 5.78 percent. On Tuesday, one patient died in AIIMS Rishikesh, Himalayan Hospital and Srinagar Medical College.
No Containment Zone in the state
On Tuesday, the state has become completely containment zone free. The only containment zone created in Ranikhet tehsil of Almora district was also removed. After this, no area in the state is declared a containment zone due to corona infection.
Declaration of Containment Zone in the state started in the month of March from the FRI campus. Since then, a large number of areas in each district were declared contamination zones due to infection. But now there is no containment zone in the state.
