Uttarakhand sees biggest spike of Corona cases in 1 day: 1637 cases found
Corona infection is breaking records on a daily basis in Uttarakhand. Every single day, records of corona virus are being made. Even today, 1637 cases of Corona have been reported. This is the highest number of cases found in the state in a single day till date. So far, 31973 cases have been reported in the state. In Dehradun district alone, 623 new cases have been reported as per the health bulletin issued on 13 September.
21049 have been cured in the state and gone home. There are 10397 active cases. So far 414 people have died in the state from Corona. The ever increasing cases are raising the concern of the government and the health department. The challenge of treating the positive patients before the government has arisen.
Today, 16 cases have been reported in Almora, Bageshwar 13, 7 in Chamoli, 32 in Champawat, Dehradun 623, Haridwar 318 and 211 in Nainital. 57 new cases have been reported in Pauri, Pithoragarh 34, Rudraprayag 12, 27 in Tehri, 240 in US Nagar and 47 in Uttarkashi. The Corona infection rate in the state has increased to 6.42 percent.
MLA’s to take Corona test before Vidhan Sabha session from September 23
Legislators will have to go through the mandatory corona scrutiny process to attend the proposed assembly session from 23 September. The legislators will have to submit the test report to the assembly. Preparations are also underway to involve more and more MLAs in the session proceedings through virtual means. Giving information to the media after the meeting held for the assembly session preparations, Assembly Speaker Premchand Aggarwal said that the legislators would have to conduct a corona check in their areas or at the MLA residence in Dehradun.
