Uttarakhand unveils mascot, logo, jersey and tagline for 38th National Games

Uttarakhand celebrated a significant milestone in sports by unveiling the mascot, logo, jersey, anthem and tagline for the 38th National Games 2025 at Maharana Pratap Sports College in Dehradun. The event, scheduled to be held from January 28 to February 14, 2025, will see a confluence of tradition and sportsmanship.
Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president PT Usha and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the unveiling ceremony, which also included the announcement of making traditional sports like yoga and mallakhamb a part of the competition.
Mascot “Mouli”
Inspired by the Monal, the state bird of Uttarakhand.
It symbolises the uniqueness of the region and encourages young athletes to aim high.
38th National Games Logo
It depicts the beauty and biodiversity of Uttarakhand while incorporating the vibrant image of the Monal.
Jersey
The jersey design for the 38th National Games has been thoughtfully crafted to reflect the spirit and essence of Uttarakhand, the host state. The Jersey displays the official logo of the games, symbolizing unity and the competitive spirit of the event.
Just below the logo are icons of various sports, representing the diverse athletic disciplines that make up the National Games.
The design incorporates the majestic Himalayan peaks, a tribute to the state’s natural grandeur which serves as a reminder of Uttarakhand’s rich heritage and its role in shaping the identity of the games.
The color palette predominantly features blue and white, mirroring the serene beauty of Uttarakhand’s landscapes. The overall design serves as both an artistic expression and a symbolic reflection of Uttarakhand’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and the competitive spirit of the National Games.
Tagline
“Sankalp se Shikhar tak” represents determination and ambition.
38th National Games Details
Dates: January 28 to February 14, 2025.
Participants: Over 10,000 athletes, officials and coaches from across India, including institutional teams like the Army.
Sports: Competitions in 38 sports, including traditional events like yoga and Mallakhamb.
