Minor earthquake tremors felt in Pithoragarh

Earthquake tremors were felt in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale were measured at 3.8. The epicenter of the earthquake is being told near Pithoragarh. Tremors were felt at around 8.58 am on Sunday.

According to the National Center of Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt at a depth of 23 km 10 km from Pithoragarh at around 9 am on Sunday morning. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 3.8. At present, there is no information about any kind of damage.

Significantly, earlier on November 9, 2022, earthquake tremors of 4.3 magnitude were felt in Pithoragarh. It’s center was 90 km southeast of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, near the border of Nepal. The area of Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh of Uttarakhand is very sensitive from the point of view of earthquake.
