Adi Kailash Yatra 2024 to start from May 13

This time, Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam is going to start Adi Kailash Yatra from May 13 for the devotees. For the first time, KMVN will start the journey to Adi Kailash by road from Tanakpur. Earlier, pilgrims had been traveling to Adi Kailash from Kathgodam.

210 devotees book for Adi Kailash Yatra

So far, 210 devotees have made booking for Adi Kailash Yatra in Kumaon Mandal Development Corporation. In this, five bookings have been made from Tanakpur to Adi Kailash.

The journey will take 8 days from Kathgodam and 5 days from Tanakpur

The journey from Kathgodam to Adi Kailash towards KMVN takes eight days. With this, devotees are also given darshan of other temples including Kainchi, Jageshwar, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, but for the first time this year, by road journey from Tanakpur, devotees will be able to travel to Adi Kailash via Champawat, Pithoragarh in five days. Three days’ time will be saved by traveling from Tanakpur.

Heli service expected to start this season

This time Adi Kailash Yatra is also being linked with Heli service. On the instructions of Tourism Secretary Sachin Kurve, from April, devotees will be able to have aerial darshan of Adi Kailash and Om Parvat via Pithoragarh. For this, preparations have been started by Pithoragarh district administration and KMVN.

Adi Kailash Yatra is going to start from 13th May. For the first time, devotees will be able to visit Adi Kailash by road journey from Tanakpur also. So far 210 devotees have made bookings. On the instructions of the Tourism Secretary, preparations are being made to make the yatra a success. KMVN will endeavor to improve Adi Kailash Yatra.
