AAP Uttarakhand distributes sweets to protest against petrol hike in the state
Dehradun: The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday staged a unique protest against petrol price hike in Uttarakhand. AAP workers and supporters in Dehradun distributed sweets to the commuters visiting petrol pumps to get fuel. They were also raising slogans congratulating people for the hike in petrol prices.
The Uttarrakhand Government had recently announced increasing the petrol prices in the state by Rs 5.10 per litre which had affected the budget of the common man. Clarifying the government position on the new tax, Sharma said it was launcheThe government had justified the price hike to ensure that the state government got at least Rs 17 as revenue for every litre of petrol to check inflationary trends caused by rapid fluctuation in the prices of petroleum products.
