Uttarakhand Budget session 2021 to be held from March 1 to 10

The Trivendra Rawat led government of Uttarakhand will present the last budget of its tenure on March 4 in the assembly located in the summer capital of the state, Garasain (Bharadisain). The state cabinet approved the proposal for the budget session of the assembly from March 1 to 10 in Garsain. The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat discussed five major proposals, one of which was deferred.

After the meeting, government spokesperson and senior cabinet minister Madan Kaushik informed about the decisions taken. He said that the cabinet has approved the proposal to call the budget session 2021 of the assembly in Garsain. This session will run from March 1 to 10. The 10-day session will there will be no session for two days. The first day will be the budget address of the Governor and the next two days after discussion it will be passed. The state government will present the budget on March 4. After this, the budget will be discussed.

Structure of 97 posts approved for Jalajeevan Mission

The cabinet has approved the proposal of a framework of 97 posts to implement the Jalajivan Mission effectively in the state. The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation had proposed a structure of 129 posts. But the cabinet approved the creation of 97 temporary posts by cutting posts on the recommendation of the Finance Department. All these posts will be for the duration of the scheme and will not be adjusted under any other schemes.

Nominated members in District Sanitation Mission Committees

The Cabinet approved the reorganization proposal of District Level Water and Sanitation Mission Committees constituted under the chairmanship of District Magistrates under Swachh Bharat Mission. Under this, now the respective MPs or Union ministers, MLAs or nominated members of the ministers in these committees will also be able to become members of the committee.

Selection under Uttarakhand Police Sub Inspector and Inspector (Civil Police / Notification) Services and DPC Uttarakhand Subordinate Services will be through Selection Commission. The Cabinet has approved the (revised) Manual.

Amended retirement manual of fire personnel postponed

A proposal for Uttarakhand Fire Service Emergency Service Subordinate Officer and Employee Service Amendment Rules was also received in the meeting. It has been postponed for the next cabinet.

Speaker and deputy speaker consulted for budget session

Assembly Speaker Premchand Aggarwal consulted with Assembly Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan on Tuesday in his office room in the Legislature building to prepare for the budget session. The budget session of this time is to be held in the summer capital Garrison from March 1.

After the announcement of the Chief Minister for the budget session of assembly session, the Speaker gave directions to the Assembly officials regarding the preparation.

On Tuesday, Assembly Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan paid a courtesy call on Aggarwal. During this, the two leaders discussed the preparations for the upcoming budget session.

he Speaker of the Legislative Assembly had constituted a committee under the chairmanship of MLA Chandan Ram Das regarding the functioning of the District Development Authority in the mountains. This committee recommended abolition of authorities. The Speaker had sent the recommendations of the committee to the state government for action.
