Kedarnath reopening 2022: Temple decked up ahead of opening date

The doors of Lord Kedarnath Dham included in the twelve Jyotirlinga will be opened at 6:25 am on Friday, May 6. For this, the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has completed all the preparations. The temple has been decorated with ten quintals of flowers as well as lighting. For darshan on the first day, more than 15 thousand pilgrims have reached Kedarnath Dham and Yatra stops.

On the other hand, the Kalash yatra of sesame oil used in the consecration of Lord Badri Vishal reached Narsingh Temple at Joshimath from the Lakshmi-Narayan temple at Dimar. Apart from this, all the preparations have also been completed to open the doors of the third Kedar Lord Tungnath temple. The doors will be opened at 12 noon. Earlier, the Panchmukhi Utsav procession of Baba Kedar also reached Kedarpuri on Thursday afternoon amidst the melodious waves of the Maratha Regiment’s band. the procession left for Kedarpuri in the morning after resting the night at Gaurikund. On the other hand, the urn of sesame oil from the Narsingh temple in Joshimath will reach Badrinath Dham with the throne of Adi Shankaracharya today. The doors of the Badrinath will be opened on May 8 at 6:15 am.
