First snowfall of the season in Badrinath-Kedarnath
The first snowfall of the season occurred in Badrinath-Kedarnath. Devotees were thrilled to see the high Himalayan regions covered with a white blanket of snow. It started becoming very cold in the Dham and the cold started increasing in the lower areas also. On the other hand, due to continuous rain, the difficulty on Badrinath Highway has increased.
Due to rain late on Saturday night, there was snowfall on the high peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath on Sunday morning. The devotees present in the Dham also got the opportunity to see this beautiful view.
With the first snowfall of the season, it has started getting cold in the lower parts. The Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert regarding heavy rain in four districts of Uttarakhand, Dehradun, Nainital, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. There are chances of light showers in other districts.
