Chardham Yatra 2023: The doors of Gangotri-Yamunotri and Kedarnath will be closed on this day

Now the weather has changed in Uttarakhand. As soon as snowfall starts, the temperature also starts falling rapidly in the region. In view of the increasing cold and snowfall, the date and time for closing the doors of Gangotri Dham and Kedarnath Dham has also been decided. The doors of Gangotri will be closed  for winter season 2023 on November 14 at 11:45 am in Abhijeet Muhurta.

After one month, Chardham Yatra will be closed for winter. The auspicious time for closing the doors of Badrinath Dham will be announced on 24th October, the day of Dussehra. Whereas on November 15, on the day of Bhai Dooj, the doors of Kedarnath Dham and Yamunotri Dham will be closed. Gangotri Temple Committee has fixed November 14 as the date for closing the doors of Gangotri Dham.

Every year, on the first day of Navratri, Gangotri Temple Committee and Rawal, the chief priest decide the date and auspicious time for closing the doors of Gangotri Dham.

This time the doors of the world famous Gangotri Dham will be closed as per the rituals on 14th November. After this, devotees will be able to have darshan of Mother Ganga in Mukhba for the next 6 months. This time a new record is going to be created in the number of devotees visiting Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. So far this year, the number of devotees in both the Dhams has crossed 15 lakh.
