8 dead due to falling boulders on Kedarnath highway
Two motorcycles and a car crashed into the ditch after falling off a boulder on the Kedarnath highway late night in Uttarakhand. In which three people died on the way to hospital. Many people were missing there.
The police administration and the SDRF team gathered in the rescue once again in the morning. During this period, the SDRF team recovered five more bodies. Police is engaged in identification of dead bodies. At the same time, the police say that this number may increase further.
According to the information, a large part of the rock (boulder) broke in the landslide-hit zone Chandikadhar on Gaurikund Highway late Saturday, which struck five motorists and a car fell into a deep ditch.
Local people reported the accident to the police and administration, after which police and SDRF personnel reached the spot. Three serious injured were taken out of the ditch with the help of ambulance helpline 108 to Sonprayag, the primary health center, but the doctors declared them dead.
