Rawat, opposing the High Court order, has said in the petition that he is the elected Chief Minister of the state and his name has been dragged on unnecessarily in this dispute to take political advantage. It said that Umesh Sharma’s petition filed in the High Court did not demand any investigation or CBI inquiry against him. This is the whole case

It was alleged that Umesh had put the video on social media. It involved Amritesh Chauhan of Jharkhand depositing Rs 25 lakh during the demonetisation in the account of Professor Rawat and his wife Savita Rawat. Also, this amount of 25 lakhs was reportedly, asked to be given to CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. In the video, Savita Rawat was described as the real sister of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. According to Professor Rawat, then the facts are false and Umesh fraudulently got his bank papers made. Bank account information was also obtained illegally. Umesh Sharma had filed a petition in the High Court to quash the case, on which the High Court has given its verdict. The Chief Minister and the state government have reached the Supreme Court against the same.
