Fuel pumps across Uttarakhand to remain shut on October 13

Petrol pump association has decided to strike on Oct 13 if the Central Government and Oil Companies do not consider their seven-point demand. Petrol and diesel will not be available on petrol pumps of Uttarakhand between 12 midnight of 12th October to 12 midnight of October 13th.

Sandeep Maheshwari, Secretary of Dehradun Petrol Dealer Welfare Association told that the Association will strike in Uttarakhand with United Petroleum Front. He told that the association is demanding the study of oil loss in the Marketing Dispelling Guideline during the revision, machine and transport.

The company itself says that the machines which are being made available on pumps can reduce up to 25 mL of oil, while the pumps have been instructed to distribute 100% of the oil, in such a case it is not possible. Apart from this, the association demands that the petrol and diesel be brought under the purview of GST, so that the price of one country can be implemented.

He said that the association has negotiated these demands several times with the oil and oil companies, but every time they are given only assurance and sent back. Therefore, the association has organized a one-day strike in the first phase. Even after this, if the oil companies ignored their demands, the dealers will go on an indefinite strike from October 27.
