BJP will send panel from Uttarakhand for Rajya Sabha today, elections to be held on June 10

In view of the elections to be held on June 10 for a seat going to become vacant in the Rajya Sabha from Uttarakhand, the state BJP has prepared a panel of the names of the contenders. According to State BJP President Madan Kaushik, the panel has not been sent yet, but the process has been completed. It is expected to be sent to the central leadership on Monday. 8 to 10 names will be included in the panel. He said that it is the responsibility of the Central Parliamentary Board of the party to decide who to field as the candidate.

BJP has two-thirds majority

The BJP currently has a two-thirds majority in the 70-member Uttarakhand assembly. Thus, the victory of his candidate is certain. In view of this, the party leadership has intensified the exercise of candidate selection. In this context, the national leadership of the party had instructed the state BJP to send a panel of six names from the state. State BJP has so far brainstormed the names of party leaders for the panel to be sent from the state three times.

It was told that the panel is almost ready, but instead of six, 8 to 10 names will be included in it. The intention behind this is not to offend anyone.
