Bus carrying ITBP jawans falls down gorge in Pithoragarh’s Munsiyari; 2 dead
The bus of ITBP going from Munsiyari to Pithoragarh fell into a deep gorge near Girgaon at around 10.30 in the morning. In this accident, two soldiers died on the spot and two jawans suffered serious injuries. Both the injured soldiers have been dispatched by the Army helicopter to Dehradun after the first aid in Community Health Center Munsiyari. In the road accident, the condition of injured jawans is critical.
The ITBP vehicle, carrying around four people, headed towards Pithoragarh at around 8:30 am on Wednesday, from ITBP camp Munsiyari. After going to some 28 kilometers, the driver of the vehicle lost control and fell into a deep gorge about 100 meters below. Two jawans were killed on the spot of the accident. The deceased have been identified Tribhuvan Singh Devli (52) and Dama Ram (28). In the accident Dhani Chandra (26), resident of Barem Bangapani and Narendra Singh (28) of Jhunjhun, Rajasthan, have suffered serious injuries. After the primary treatment in the CHC Munsiyari, the injured have been dispatched by the army helicopter to Dehradun for treatment. There have severe injuries in the head, leg and back. The conditions of both of them remain critical.
