Rohit Sharma’s century helps India win T20I series against England

India chase down 199 with 7 wickets remaining

The decider of the 3 match T20 International series between India and England was played in Bristol. Winning the toss, India decided to chase dropping Kuldeep Yadav from the playing XI. Deepak Chahar made his T20I debut. This was Team India’s 6th consecutive T20I series win. This was Rohit’s 3rd T20I century making him just the 2nd player to achieve that feat. Batting first, the England team, lost 9 wickets in 20 overs, scoring 198 runs and set a target of 199 for India to win the match and series. Jason Roy played an impressive 67-run knock of 31 balls from England. He hit 4 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. For India, Hardik Pandya was the pick of the bowlers with 38 runs in 4 overs and picking up 4 wickets.

Dhoni creates World record

In any match of T20 cricket, no other wicketkeeper in the world had been able to get five catches in the same innings. This is the first time the Indian team’s wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has done this. In the third T20 match against England, he took the catch of five batsmen registered his name changed to a new world record. In this match Dhoni took five catches and even got a player a run out.
