Weather changes in Uttarakhand; rainfall, snowfall predicted in next 24 hours

In most parts of the state, after the rains on Saturday, the weather has decreased the temperature. The maximum temperature of most areas has been decreased from five to six degrees. Because of the cold people have been forced to bring out their warm clothes. According to the Meteorological Department, there is still a forecast of light rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand.
Rain started on Saturday in several areas of the state including the capital Dehradun. There was light rain in different areas for about one hour. This led to cold condition in the region. After this the weather remained cloudy all day, due to which the sunlight was very less. There has also been a significant decrease in day temperature.

Meteorological director Bikram Singh said that there has been snowfall in the areas of upto three thousand meters high. He told that the maximum temperature of most areas has decreased from five to six degrees. This has reduced the maximum temperature to below normal. The minimum temperature can also be three to four degrees deficient. He said that the maximum temperature is expected to reach around normal on Monday. He told that Sunday rains are expected on Sunday as well.

Cold winds, hail warning in 24 hours

The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of cold winds and hailstorms within the next 24 hours in some parts of the state. Given this, the administration has asked all departments to be alert. In the meantime, instructions have been issued to not allow tourists to visit the high Himalayan areas during this period.

According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, Dehradun, there may be strong winds in certain areas. The possibility of hailstorm has also been expressed. The administration has asked all the departments, including disaster management, to stay ready. Pithoragarh ADM RD Paliwal issued instructions to stay alert while prohibiting the movement of tourists and also asked the villagers who went to the high Himalayan area for the herb collection to alert them. In addition, he has instructed all the responsible departments, including Disaster Management, Health Department, Public Works Department, to be cautious.

With the sudden change of weather, there was snowfall in the Himalayan region was high on Saturday, while the Munsiyari received light rain. With this the mercury fell from the mountain, as well as plains.
The sky was surrounded by clouds from Saturday morning. In the afternoon, snowfall occurred in high Himalayan regions. There was snowfall on Panchachuli, Rajarambhha, Chhipala etc. There was light rain in Munasari and nearby areas. In the Himalayan region, the fresh snow and the rains brought down the mercury suddenly to 10 degrees. The cold was felt all day long due to the absence of sunlight and falling mercury. Villages of seven villages of the Vyas Valley will start migration with their cattle to lower altitude region within a day or two.
