Uttarakhand Corona update: 8950 vaccinated on 11 February

On Thursday, 48 new corona patients were found in Uttarakhand and two infected died. With this, the total number of patients in the state has reached 96,673. Currently there are 669 Corona active patients in the state. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, not a single new corona patient was found in Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on Thursday. While 17 patients have been confirmed in Dehradun, 7 in Haridwar, 3 in Chamoli, 14 in Nainital, 1 in Pithoragarh, 2 in Tehri, 2 in US Nagar.

Two of the infected died at Doon Medical College and Kailash Hospital. With this, the total death toll in the state so far has been 1676. The rate of corona infection in the state is 4.35 percent while the recovery rate is 96.15. A total of 77 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the state on Thursday. With this, the total number of patients cured has reached 92950.

Vaccination of 97418 people in the state

So far, a total of 97418 health workers and front line workers have been vaccinated corona in the state. 6789 front line workers were vaccinated on Thursday. With this, the total number of front line workers vaccinated has increased to 21346. On Thursday, 1801 health workers were vaccinated, taking the total number of vaccinations to 76072. Officials of the health department said that by Friday the number of vaccinators in the state is expected to cross one lakh.

On Thursday, a new shipment of 1,93,500 covishield vaccines was received from the center for vaccination of the state’s health worker and front line workers. The state immunization officer, Dr. KS Martolia, received the vaccine at Jollygrant Airport on Thursday. He informed that all these vaccines will be used in vaccination of front line workers and health workers. It is known that the state has so far received three consignments of vaccines from the center for corona vaccination.

Due to which the health workers were first vaccinated and later the vaccination of the front line worker has also been started. Looking at Haridwar Mahakumbh, the state will soon get another consignment of one lakh 40 thousand vaccine. With this, the employees, police personnel and media personnel working in Haridwar Kumbh are to be vaccinated. The vaccination campaign has been going on in the state since January 16 and gradually the campaign is gaining momentum.

So far, 1 lakh 81 thousand 205 health workers and front line workers have been registered on the CoWin portal in the state and all these people are undergoing vaccination work. Director of NHM in the state, Dr. Saroj Naithani said that the vaccine has been sent to all the districts on Thursday itself.

He said that a total of 398651 vaccine doses would be required for health care workers and front line workers in the state. He said that as per the instructions of the Center, registration of employees of Revenue and Panchayati Raj Department is to be done on CoWin portal by 17 February.
