Temperature falls after rains and snow in Uttarakhand

Due to the rains from late late on Tuesday till Monday morning, there has been a sharp decline in the temperature of the capital, Dehradun. To avoid cold, people are resorting to coal fire and heaters. Rains accompanied by strong cold winds and thunderstorms late Monday night have reduced the temperature. On the same day, the rainy season continued till the intermittent morning. It was dark in the morning. There was snowfall in Mussoorie.

On Monday, the mild snowfall started shortly after 7:00 in the morning in Mussoorie. The dropping mercury is intensifying the cold. That is there was a deserted look over Mall road. Though some tourists were seen taking enjoyment of the cold weather on the mall road in Mussoorie. At the same time, due to haze in the city, the drivers of the vehicles are facing a lot of difficulties.

Snowfall in Chakrata

There was a snowfall on Monday morning on the high peaks of Chakrata, Lohari, Devban, Khadamba,Vyas peak, etc.. Due to the snowfall and the surrounding area was hit by cold wave. On Monday, there were about two inches snowfall on the higher peaks in the area. The temperature of Chakrata with snowfall dropped from four to two degrees Celsius.

On the other hand, in the lower areas of Vikasnagar, Dakpathar, Herbertpur and surrounding areas, the weather was rainy throughout the day. Chakrata snowfall occurred on Monday morning. People are facing huge problems due to the melting of the eastern ice in the area and again on Monday due to snowfall. Rain and snow have become a problem in the area. In the elevated area, the villagers are facing problems in reaching the villages with Ration and drinking water.

Light rain has increased cold

The rain alert has been issued in the state till 22nd February. On February 21 and 22, in the high altitude areas of the state, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy snowfall. On Monday, in most areas including Dehradun, the temperature has decreased due to rains.

On Monday morning, cold effect has increased due to light rain in Doon and the surrounding areas. In the early  morning on Tuesday there was rains. Students and their families faced problems due to rains during the opening of the school. However, after some time the weather improved and there was a light sunshine.

The Metrological Department has also expressed the possibility of rain and hail fall in most areas on Tuesday. Depending on the departmental bulletin, rain may occur in the next 48 hours in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital and Udhamsingh Nagar. On February 21, the height of heavy snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh is estimated to be 3,000 meters and above. The weather may be normal from the evening of 22 February.
