Cricket Association of Uttarakhand releases tournament calendar for 2019
Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) has released the calendar for its upcoming tournaments. Competitions will be made in the junior and senior category of girls and boyss in the state on the basis of the calendar.
CAU secretary in charge, Mahim Verma said that in order to give the junior players the opportunity to play as much as possible, the calendar has focused more on junior cricket. He said that in addition to the competitions, special training camps will be organized under the supervision of qualified coach and physicians.
U-19 district trials from June 13
According to the calendar, from June 13, the Inter District Under-19 Cricket Tournament will be organized in Dehradun and Haldwani. The selected players will be have a training camp in Dehradun from June 20. From June 20, the inter district senior tournament will be held in Dehradun and Haldwani, while the under-16 inter-district tournament will be organized from June 22. The selected players will be have a camp in Nainital from June 28.
The girl’s under-19 inter-district tournament will be held in Chamoli from June 18, from June 24 in Haldwani for under-19, and from June 26, there will be an under-23 girl Inter-district tournament in Dehradun and Haldwani. Apart from this, the boys under-23 tournament will also be organized.
Special training camps of selected players from all tournaments will be conducted. An open trial will be held on June 13 and 14 for Women’s team selection for All India Women’s Cricket Tournament.
CAU’s in-charge, Mahim Verma, told that the trials will be held in Aryan Cricket Academy. Interested players can reach the venue with three year old birth certificate, residence certificate and two photographs.
