Uttarakhand Corona update 20 May: 15 new cases found today
Till this evening, 15 new corona positive cases were reported in Uttarakhand. After which now the total corona infected number in the state has increased to 126. At the same time, 53 of these patients have been cured.
Cases found in Tehri district for the first time
Today, infected patients have been reported from Almora, one in Haridwar, two in Nainital, four in Udham Singh Nagar, two in Uttarkashi and five in Tehri district. For the first time, cases of infection have been reported in Tehri district.
A corona-infected patient found in Uttarkashi came from Delhi on May 16 along with three people. All three were isolated at the district hospital after having symptoms of fever. Among them, a 38-year-old man has reported positive. While the report of one of the remaining two people came negative. A report is yet to come.
2600 migrants under quarantine in last 12 days in Kotdwar
In the lockdown, the process of returning migrants from different areas of the country to Kotdwar and nearby hill region is going on. For the last 12 days, about 2600 people have been quarantined at the check post located on the border of Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand.
Salon, Spa and Parlor opened
Salons, spas and parlors have opened in Uttarakhand and other districts including Dehradun since Wednesday. District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava has implemented the new system under lockdown 4.0 on from Wednesday.
He informed that salons, spas and parlors will also be opened. All the equipment will have to be sanitized after catering to a customer in these shops. Only a maximum of five people (two staff, three costumers) will be present inside the shop.
