UP STF takes Vikas Dubey into custody
Vikas Dubey, whose name is involved in various crimes including killing of eight police officials has been arrested from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. He was carrying a reward of rupees five lakh on his head after attacking a police team that went on a raid in Chaubepur, Kanpur on the night of July 2 and 3.
The STF of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested Vikas Dubey. After paper work in Ujjain court, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force directly arrested Vikas Dubey. The police of Mahakal police station in Ujjain have handed over Vikas Dubey to UP STF. Now Uttar Pradesh STF team will leave for Lucknow with Vikas Dubey. Earlier city lawyers started demonstrating in court. The lawyers demand that Dubey gets severe punishment. A heavy police force was stationed outside the court in Ujjain. Vikas Dubey was kept at the Police Training Center in Ujjain.
Vikas Dubey told the Ujjain police that he fired on the police for fear of an encounter. He wanted to burn the corpse of the policemen, so he collected the corpses in one place but could not do so. He told that he has connections with many policemen.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan congratulated the MP police on the arrest of dreaded criminal Vikas Dubey. I am in touch with Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. Vikas Dubey will be assigned to UP Police. Police of both the states are working on it. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on the arrest of Vikas Dubey that those who feel that their sins will be dusted by going to Mahakal’s shelter, they did not know Mahakal. Our government is not going to spare any criminal.
