Helipcopter services to begin in Kedarnath from 9th October
Heli service to Kedarnath Dham will be started from October 9. On October 6, the DGCA team will inspect the Guptkashi, Sirsa and Phata helipads. In which arrangements will be taken for security arrangements and facilities for passengers.
After DGCA’s green signal, passengers can go to Kedarnath from Heli service from October 9. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Authority has started online booking of heli tickets.
Heli service is going to start soon for the famous Kedarnath Dham. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation authority has completed preparations with the issuance of SOP for heli service operations. Nine aviation companies from Sirsa, Phata, Guptakashi will operate the heli service.
According to the SOP, there will be no compulsory e-pass for passengers going to Kedarnath by heli service. The number of pilgrims coming from the heli service will not be included in the number of devotees that the Devasthanam Board has set for daily darshan in Chardham. The system of thermal screening, health check-up of passengers going by heli-service will be arranged through aviation companies.

The fare per passenger has been set for Kedarnath from three places. In which Guptkashi has been fixed Rs 3875, Rs 2360 from Phata, Rs 2340 from Sirsa.
SOP for heli service operations has been issued. Heli service will start from October 9 after inspection by DGCA. Online booking for heli tickets has been started.
