Total Corona infected death toll crosses 1000 in Uttarakhand

The pace of corona infected patients has slowed down in Uttarakhand, but the death toll has crossed one thousand. In the last 24 hours, 368 newly infected cases were detected and eight patients died. Meanwhile 700 patients were discharged after recovering. The total number of infected has reached 60744 and active patients 4080.

According to the Health Department data, 8398 samples were negative on Monday. The maximum number of 97 corona patients was found in Dehradun district. Whereas, 47 in Tehri, 45 in Nainital, 42 in Haridwar, 22 in Udham Singh Nagar, 20 in Chamoli, 19 in Pauri, 19 in Pithoragarh, 18 in Rudraprayag, 13 in Bageshwar, 10 in Uttarkashi, 9 in Champawat and 7 in Almora in the district.

Today eight patients have died in the state. In this, four patients at AIIMS Rishikesh, one at Max Hospital, one at Himalayan Hospital, one at Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani, one patient at District Hospital Udham Singh Nagar succumbed during treatment. The death toll has risen to 1001. At the same time, the number of recoveries has increased to 55188.

Transition slows, liberation from restrictions of containment zone

Due to slow pace of corona infection in the state, the restrictions of the containment zone are also getting liberated. Within a month, the number of containment zones has come down from 450 to 57 now. Unlock-5 has some relief with the corona infection subsiding.
