Athletes from Himachal dominate at first Nayar Valley Adventure Sports fest

The Nayar Valley Adventure Sports Festival has concluded. The winners were awarded on the last day. Himachal dominated the national level paragliding accuracy competition. Amit Thakur took the first place and Himachal’s participants captured the second place as well. At the same time, Alisha of Arunachal who was the only female participant in paragliding was awarded in the Best Woman category.

The four-day Nayar Valley Adventure Sports Festival, held for the first time at Bilkhet in Satupali in Pauri Garhwal district, has ended. The winners of various competitions were awarded on the last day of the festival. Himachal occupied the three positions in Paragliding Accuracy. Himachal’s Amit Thakur, Ranjit Singh and Chitra Singh finished first, second and third. The winners were presented cash prizes and certificates of Rs 50, 30 and 20 thousand respectively. At the same time, Alisha, the only woman to participate in paragliding, was awarded a certificate and an amount of 21 thousand rupees.

Nepal’s clean sweep in mountain biking

At the same time, in the mountain biking category, Nepal won the laurels. Nepal has won all five awards in both the Male and Female categories. In the mail category, Ashish Sherpa stood first, Ramesh Bharti in second and Akash Sherpa in third place, while Usha and Anisha stood first and second in the female category. In the men’s category, winners were awarded with cash and certificates of 50, 30 and 20 thousand. At the same time, the winners of the women category won Rs 30 and 20 thousand.
