Now direct express train will run from Kotdwar to Anand Vihar
Railway passengers of Garhwal are soon going to avail a new train service from Kotdwar to Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi). The Railway Ministry has accepted the demand of Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni. This will be the second direct express service between Kotdwar and Delhi.
Railways has prepared the time table for running this train. Brainstorming is going on the resources required for this. This train will compensate for the Mussoorie Express. According to the Railway Ministry, this train will leave Kotdwar every day at 10 pm via Najibabad, Mauzampur Narayan, Laksar, Tapri, Deoband, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and reach Anand Vihar Terminal Delhi at 04:35 am.
Whereas it will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 09:45 pm and reach Kotdwar at 03:50 am. From Kotdwar, this train will reach Najibabad at 11:50 pm, while the proposed time of arrival of the train at Najibabad station from Anand Vihar Terminal has been kept at 02:55 am.
Second direct train to Delhi
BJP leader Vipin Kainthola said that with the operation of this train, the shortage of Mussoorie Express will be fulfilled and Kotdwar will get another direct train to Delhi. For this, in the last week of August, a delegation of traders from Kotdwar met Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni in Delhi. A memorandum was submitted on his behalf to the Railway Minister. This train will be a big gift for the railway passengers of Garhwal.
According to railway officials, this train has been kept in the proposed train service. GM Operating of Railways has issued a proposal for operating trains from Kotdwar to Anand Vihar Terminal in the probable list. However, there is no mention about the train number and when the operations will start. Operating times are given in the probable list of train operations.
