5 youths drown in Saryu river
There is news of 5 youths flowing in Saryu river in Seraghat of Almora. Till now information has been received that 8 children had gone to bathe in Saryu river in Seraghat of Almora. Everyone was taking a bath when suddenly 5 children went towards the stream. After this all the five started flowing in the current of the river. After this there was chaos on the spot and the rest of the children started shouting. Although three have been rescued safely, the bodies of all five have been recovered. It is reported that the five youths of the deceased are residents of Ganai of Pithoragarh district.
SDM Gangolihat reached the spot along with BS Ponia state team and started investigation. There is a wave of mourning in the area due to this incident. Five teenagers who went to bathe in the Saryu river flowing on the Almora-Pithoragarh border were drowned in the river.
