Uttarakhand corona curfew extended till June 29; markets to open for 5 days

For the prevention of corona infection, the Covid curfew implemented in Uttarakhand has been extended by a week till June 29 with more relaxations. Now curfew will remain till 6 am on 29th June. During this time, bars and hotels have been allowed to operate with 50 percent capacity. Along with this, a relaxation has been given to open the market for five days instead of three days. At the same time, government offices will also open with 50 percent capacity. Government spokesperson and cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal gave information.

The period of Covid curfew implemented in the state is ending on June 22 at 6 am. Now that the cases of corona infection have reduced significantly in the state, the demand for relaxation in curfew is also rising continuously. Although the government is not in the mood to lift the curfew at the moment, more concessions have been given in it. In this context, markets have been allowed to open five days a week from eight in the morning to five in the evening. Currently, the markets are open only for three days.

Uttarakhand Corona curfew guidelines from June 22 to June 29

  • According to the decision taken at the higher level, the Covid curfew will remain in force from June 22 to June 29 with some relaxations.
  •  General Merchant, Grocery etc. shops will be opened for five days in a week except Saturday, Sunday as before.
  • Hotels/restaurants will be opened with 50% dining capacity and will remain closed from 10 pm to 6 am. Bars will also open with a capacity of 50.
  • All government, semi-government, private offices will open with 50 percent capacity. Offices related to essential services will open at full capacity.
  • Chardham Yatra will open for Badrinath Chamoli district, Kedarnath for Rudraprayag district and Gangotri, Yamunotri for residents of Uttarkashi district from July 1 and will open for Uttarakhand state residents from July 11. For this RTPCR or antigen or rapid test will be necessary.
  • For entering the state or going from the field to the mountain, RTPCR or antigen or rapid test will be necessary.

Chardham Yatra will be opened for people across the state from July 11

At the same time, Chardham Yatra will also be started in two phases. From July 1, Chardham Yatra will be started for only three districts Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi. From July 11, Chardham Yatra will be opened for the people across the state.

On Saturday, there was a meeting of the committee constituted regarding the Covid curfew. In the meeting, the committee had decided to further relax the curfew keeping in mind the infection rate of Corona, the suggestions received from the district magistrates and the circumstances of the state. Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal gave information in this regard on Sunday.

50 percent attendance of employees allowed in offices

Now hotels and restaurants will be opened with 50 percent attendance. At present, hotels and restaurants were only allowed to operate kitchens for home delivery. There is no movement of customers in these. Similarly, 50 percent attendance of employees has been allowed in government and private offices.
