1 killed, 1 injured due to falling debris from the hills

Meanwhile, a sad news has come from Almora-Haldwani Highway. Here the stones fell from the hill after the rain. A bike came in the grip of these stones, on which two friends were riding.
The bike fell into the gorge after hitting the stones. In the incident, a youth riding a bike died on the spot. Apart from this, his companion in the bike was seriously injured. Police and army personnel rescued both of them out of the gorge. Police said that this morning the two friends were going to Almora by bike. Suddenly a stone fell on the bike from the hill on the highway. Along with the stone, both the bike riders fell towards the gorge. The local people, along with the police and the army personnel going from there, took both the injured to the Garam Pani hospital. The doctors declared one friend brought dead.While the other has been sent to Haldwani.
