Rs 500 fine if found without mask in Mussoorie
The havoc of Corona has not diminished, but the concern of the people has definitely reduced. The restrictions imposed regarding Covid are almost over, tourists have also started reaching Uttarakhand in large numbers, but no one is following the rules related to masks and social distancing. If this continues, then the third wave of Corona will not take long to arrive. Amidst increasing cases of corona in the state, the administration has issued strict guidelines for tourists visiting Mussoorie. If tourists are now found roaming without a mask in the Queen of the Hills, they will have to pay a fine of Rs 500. If you are also going to Mussoorie, then definitely keep in mind the rules related to masks. On Sunday, the police appealed to tourists in the city to wear masks.
SDM Manish Kumar said that the corona investigation will be expedited in the city from Monday. A target of 150 tests has been set in the city every day. He said that the earlier conditions of the Corona Guidelines will be strictly followed. A challan of five hundred rupees will be deducted for people roaming without masks. In this matter, a meeting will be held on Monday with other organizations including the Hotel Association of the city. Even though the administration has issued guidelines related to masks and Covid, but still many tourists reaching Mussoorie were seen roaming across the city without masks. Tourists also faced problems due to overcrowding. Thousands of tourists arrived in Mussoorie this weekend from different states. During this time, on reaching the city, tourists had to deal with traffic jams.
