Police nab youth with body of girl stuffed in suitcase

The police has apprehended the youth who was carrying the body of the girl in a suitcase from a guest house in Piran Kaliyar area of Roorkee. During the police interrogation, the youth said that both were in a love relationship. Disturbed by the taunts of the people, the girl herself has consumed poison. He was also going to commit suicide by jumping by throwing the dead body in Ganganahar. The police have informed the families of both of them by sending the body for post-mortem. Police say that the matter is being investigated seriously. As soon as the complaint is received, a case will be registered.

According to the police, at around five o’clock in the evening, a youth resident of Jwalapur in Haridwar had come on a scooty with a suitcase to take a room at the guest house in Mukarrabpur. Keeping the suitcase in the room, he left. After sometime a girl came and went to the room. At around eight o’clock in the night, he was getting down with the suitcase. Seeing him covered in sweat, the manager asked him the problem. The young man told that gas is forming in the stomach. He asked the manager to bring the medicine by paying twenty rupees.

As soon as the manager left, he started taking down the suitcase. Meanwhile, when the owner of the guest house saw the young man in this condition in the CCTV camera, he got suspicious. He called the manager and asked him to check the suitcase. The manager came running and asked the young man to get the suitcase checked but he refused. At the same time he started trying to run away. When the manager raised an alarm, people caught the young man. When he opened the suitcase, he saw the girl’s body in it. As soon as the information was received, SO Dharmendra Rathi reached the spot along with the police and interrogated the youth by taking him into custody.

During interrogation the accused told these things

During interrogation, the accused youth told that both of them were having a love affair for eight years. The people of the locality were aware of this. They used to taunt the girl about this, due to which she was upset. Due to this, both of them had decided to commit suicide. He told that before coming to Kaliyar, the girl had consumed poison. He died shortly after reaching the guest house. He locked the body in a suitcase and was going to throw it in Ganganahar. After this he too was about to commit suicide by jumping into the Gangnahar.

The SO said that the youth is being questioned. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The families of both have been informed. As soon as the complaint is received, a case will be registered.
