The war between Russia and Ukraine is showing no signs of ending. Volunteer fighters are now being included in the Russian army to compete with Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered that volunteer fighters be sent to Ukraine. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia has more than 16,000 applications from Middle East countries.
Putin told Shoigu that Russia should help volunteers get into combat zones and compared them to foreign mercenaries fighting for Ukraine.
