Parents filed a case against son & daughter-in-law, said- either give grandson or five crores

A unique case has come to the fore in Uttarakhand. Here a couple has filed a case against their son and daughter-in-law. This sounds like common news, but the matter is definitely a bit shocking. The couple has demanded a grandson or granddaughter from their son and daughter-in-law, failing which they have sought damages of Rs 2.5 crore each. A case has been filed in this regard in the court of Haridwar, whose next hearing is to be held on May 17.

According to the information, the petitioner has been an officer in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. After retirement, he lives with his wife. He married his son to a girl from Noida in 2016. His son is a pilot and daughter-in-law is also employed.

At the same time, his lawyer AK Srivastava said that this case shows the truth of the society. People put everything in their hands to shape the future of their children and it is the responsibility of the children that after standing on their feet, they should take care of the basic facilities of their families. In this case, the family has asked their son and daughter-in-law to give either grandson or granddaughter in a year, if this does not happen then Rs 5 crore has been demanded as compensation.

On the other hand, the petitioner said that ‘I put everything I have to get my son educated in America. He got his house built by taking a loan from the bank. Now I am surrounded by financial and personal troubles. The son has been married for six years, we had hoped that soon we would see the face of our grandson or granddaughter but it did not happen. We do not even care whether it is a grandson or a granddaughter, we just want a child in the family. Failure to do so, we have sought a compensation of Rs 5 crore from our son and daughter-in-law.’
