Mana village of the state is now the country’s first village

The sign board of the first village in place of the last village of the country has been installed by the Border Roads Organization at the entrance of the border village Mana. It is noteworthy that in the program organized in Mana on October 21, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while stamping approval for calling Mana the first village of the country instead of the last village of India, said that “Now for them too Every village situated on the borders is the first village of the country. Earlier, the areas which were ignored as the end of the country’s borders, we started from there considering it as the beginning of the country’s prosperity. People should accept that digital technology is being used here.” Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of PM Modi, the border areas of the country are indeed becoming more vibrant today. For this, Vibrant Village program has been started. He said that the Vibrant Village Program aims at developing border villages, improving the quality of life of villagers, harnessing the tourism potential by promoting local culture, traditional knowledge and heritage, and promoting community-based organisations, cooperatives and NGOs. The medium aims to develop eco-sustainable eco-agri-businesses on the concept of One Village One Product.

He said that the Vibrant Village Action Plans have been prepared by the District Administration in collaboration with the Gram Panchayats. This will give wings to the possibilities of development here along with crops including herbs, apples, kidney beans, products of these areas. Woolen garments are being manufactured in these areas under one village one product scheme. The Chief Minister said that this scheme will be helpful in preventing migration from the border areas and our border residents will also be able to participate in the security of the country.

Chief Minister Dhami said that the statement of the Prime Minister that “the third decade of the 21st century will belong to Uttarakhand” fills us with a new enthusiasm and energy. On one hand, where it makes us feel proud, on the other hand, it also makes us aware of our duties. As per the vision of the Prime Minister, ‘we are determined to work with full dedication for the development and welfare of the state. To make the state a leading state in every field by the year 2025, we have adopted the basic mantra of “Resolve without option”‘.
