Uttarakhand weather update: Rain,hail possibility in higher regions of the state
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain and hailstorm in the mountainous areas of Uttarakhand on Friday. The department has issued a yellow alert for the hilly areas. Whereas, the weather is expected to remain dry in the plains.
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning, rain and hailstorm along with thunder in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on April 21. Due to this, a drop in temperature can be seen. Whereas, weather will remain dry over the plains of the state.
Pleasant weather in Doon
The weather was pleasant in the capital Doon on Thursday. Although the heat was felt due to the scorching sun in the afternoon, but the weather became pleasant due to cloud cover at around 4 pm. There was rain and thunder in Dehradun late on Thursday night accompanied by strong winds. On Thursday, the maximum temperature was recorded 33 and the minimum was 18 degrees. The weather is expected to remain clear in Doon on Friday. There is also a possibility of partly cloudy sky in some areas. The maximum temperature can be 33 and the minimum can be 17 degree Celsius.
