Pithoragarh murder case: Body of suspect found hanging from tree; suicide suspected
The dead body of the murderer who killed four women of his own family, including his wife, has been recovered in Gangolihat’s Bursum village. The dead body of the accused Santosh Ram, aged 40, was found hanging from a tree in the forest of Dawali Bagad Tok near the village on Monday at 11 am, four days after the incident.
Santosh Ram, accused of four murders that took place in revenue village Bursum in the past, was being searched in the forests of the area by a joint team of SDRF and police. The accused was absconding after committing four murders. Police, SDRF team was engaged in the search of the accused.
On Monday, Santosh Ram’s body was found hanging on a tree in a forest about one km away from the village. The dead body had started rotting. Police Station Gangolihat Mangal Singh told that the police is taking further action.
