Orange alert of heavy rain, all schools from class 1 to 12 to remain closed in Chamoli on July 11 and 12
In many districts of Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains for the next two days. Due to which Chamoli District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana has declared holiday on July 11 and 12 in all government, non-government, private schools and Anganwadi centers in the district. He has instructed the Chief Education Officer and District Child Development Officer to ensure compliance of the order in all schools and Anganwadi centers.

On the other hand, one day (July 10) holiday in Uttarkashi and Dehradun, two days (July 10 and 11) in Udham Singh Nagar, three days (July 10 to 12) in Almora and four days in Nainital from July 10 to 13 have already been declared.
