Traffic to be diverted in Haridwar tomorrow for Vice President visit
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is visiting Haridwar on Saturday. Arrangements have been made tight for the arrival of the Vice President. The traffic police has diverted some routes. The Vice President will reach Haridwar on Saturday. From Delhi he will land at Jolly Grant airport. In view of the VVIP programme, some routes have been diverted from 9 am to 2 pm.
Entry of heavy vehicles will be completely prohibited on Rishikesh-Bhaniyawala to Haridwar road from 8 am to 2 pm. This will be the route diversion. Vehicles coming from Rishikesh towards Bhaniyawala will be stopped at the airport intersection. Also, vehicles coming towards Dehradun city can be diverted from Ranipokhari intersection.
Acting DGP Abhinav Kumar said that there will be VVIP movement in Haridwar in the next three-four days. Therefore the police have to remain alert every minute. Deploy adequate number of police forces by making elaborate security arrangements around the program venues and crowded places.
