Women’s Wushu League organized in Dehradun as part of Khelo India

Khelo India Women’s Wushu League is being organized in the capital Dehradun. Under this, women players from eight states of the North Zone are participating in this competition. Wushu league is being organized in 4 zones in the country. Under which North Zone is being organized in Dehradun, the winter capital of Uttarakhand. Under this, players from eight states including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal, Punjab and Uttarakhand have participated in Dehradun.

450 female participants have taken part in the Women’s Wushu League. Participants who reached the competition were very excited about this event being organized with the help of the Sports Department of the Government of India.

A prize money of Rs 60 lakh has been kept for this competition by the Sports Authority of India. In which price money of ₹ 600000 will be given to the players in each zone. Prize money of Rs 36 lakh has been kept for the games to be held at the national level. On the other hand, the country is continuously getting medals in Wushu Games. 6 Arjuna Awards have also been received in this game in the last 12 years.

Organizing this league in Uttarakhand is a better opportunity for the youth of the state. Many players from the state are also participating in it. The special thing is that the Indian government is also promoting this game. In this, better opportunities are also open for the players.
