Nagar Nigam won’t charge any entry fee for Gandhi Park

The Municipal Corporation will not charge any kind of fee for entering Gandhi Park. Dehradun Nagar Nigam Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gamma made it clear that Gandhi Park is currently the only big park among the city. Many people come here every day. Given the feeling of people, there will be no charge for entering the Gandhi Park. In this regard, the proposal will be brought in the board meeting of the Municipal Corporation. Board meeting is scheduled on 3 June. In view of development works, this meeting is considered to be very important. Some key proposals have to be kept in the meeting from the mayor. For the last three years, it was said that the fee for admission in Gandhi Park was being talked about. On this, the mayor has cleared the situation. The Mayor said that the municipal corporation is not going to charge any fee for entry into Gandhi Park. The entry will be free as before. Open Gym proposal is in the board meeting, proposal to make smart toilet at the entrances of the city will also be approved by keeping it in the board meeting.

First Open Gym will be built on Rajpur road

As a municipal trial, the first open gym will be built on Rajpur road. In Rajpur road, where the beautification of ADB has beautified the pavement. An open gym will be built on a single place, which will be on the lines of Delhi. After this, open gyms will be created in other areas of the city.

Demand for making cleanliness committees in wards

The BJP’s councilors gave a memorandum to Mayor Sunil Unyiyal Gamma about the demand for cleanliness committees in every ward. Councilors said that there were two sanitation committees in every ward in the past, which had been dissolved. There is no single committee in the ward. Therefore, two hygiene committees should be formed in every ward. He said that cleanliness of the ward will be improved by the formation of sanitation committees. The Mayor said that the decision to make two-two sanitation committees in every ward will be taken after considering the board meeting.

There has been no garbage collection from the Judges Cony Area on Balbir Road, Dalanwala, Adjoining to the BJP Office for the last 10 days. the residents are lifting their household garbage in cars to the nearest community dust Bins. I doubt if theses committees will be of any effect.. as even today there seems to be no accountability of any one to ensure that whether basic essential services are being provided.
