CM Dhami flags off Tanakpur-Dehradun Express

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that soon direct train service will start from Tanakpur to Lucknow and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya. With the start of Tanakpur-Dehradun train service, people of Tanakpur, Champawat and Pithoragarh will be able to travel directly to Dehradun. People of neighboring nation Nepal will also benefit from it.

CM Dhami flagged off the weekly train which started between Tanakpur-Dehradun from Saturday. During the inauguration ceremony at Tanakpur station, CM Dhami said that the regional public had been demanding for a long time to start direct train service between Tanakpur-Doon. He also had a dream to start this train. It is going to be completed with the cooperation of PM Modi and Railway Minister Vaishnav. The operation of Tanakpur-Dehradun train will also benefit lakhs of devotees coming to Purnagiri Dham from different parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Train service is available till Delhi and Prayagraj

CM Dhami said Tanakpur is a pre-independence station. There is train service from here to Delhi and Prayagraj, but trains did not operate to the state capital. PM Modi has fulfilled the much awaited need of the region.

He said, Indian Railways is touching new dimensions during the 10 years of PM Modi’s tenure. Railway services are expanding rapidly. Railways are becoming safer and speed is increasing. Later the CM traveled by train between Tanakpur to Khatima.

Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway work will start soon

The Chief Minister said that due to the operation of Vande Bharat trains, Indian Railways has reached a new dimension. The dream of reaching the mountains by train is being fulfilled. Rishikesh-Karnprayag Prayag rail line is an example of this. The survey of Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway line has been completed. Its work will also start soon and the people of the area will benefit from it.
