Cold weather intensifies in Uttarakhand
The weather has changed in Uttarakhand. Snowfall at the peaks of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham has increased the cold in the lowlands. The weather was pleasant for some time in the morning and it was sunny. But soon it changed to cloudy. As the day progressed, the weather patterns also got worse.
On the other hand, Kedarnath was cloudy since morning. Here Chorabari, Vasukital and other high-altitude peaks received snowfall. There are problems for the people present there in the morning, evening and night with the temperature being in the minus.
Chamoli district received snowfall in the high altitude areas later in the afternoon. Due to which the cold weather has has intensified in Uttarakhand. Snowfall occurred at Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers and other places including Niti Valley. Temperatures in Hemkund and Niti Valley have reached minus. The Meteorological Department had forecast snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh on Friday.
Tomorrow, there is a possibility of snowfall in areas with altitude of 3000 meters and above. Plain districts including the capital Dehradun may remain cloudy. Although there is no rain forecast here.
Night temperature reached 10 degrees
Nights have started getting cold in the capital. The meteorological office recorded Wednesday night temperature of 10.6 degrees. On Thursday, the day’s maximum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees.
