Dehradun-Lucknow flight resumes

Gradually, air services have started coming back to normal from Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. From Tuesday (June 16), the airline IndiGo started its flight to Lucknow-Dehradun with its 180-seater aircraft.

Passengers have also started increasing since the air services that were closed on March 25 due to the lockdown were resumed on May 25. Airport manager Sumit Saxena said that the aircraft will arrive at Jollygrant Airport from Lucknow at 4 pm on Tuesday and will take a return flight at 4.40 pm.

The 180 seater aircraft of IndiGo will operate daily. It is being told that preparations are being made to connect Jollygrant Airport to Kolkata by air. Airport director DK Gautam said that the airport authority is striving at every level to provide safe and convenient travel to air travelers. In view of the corona pandemic, all the arrangements are being kept in line with the government’s guidelines.

On an average 500 people travel by air every day

Airport director DK Gautam said that on an average 500 people are flying daily from Jolly Grant Airport. He cited it as a good number amidst the risk of corona infection. He has expressed hope that this number will increase further in the coming time.
