Rishikesh vegetable market closed till June 24 fearing Corona outbreak

The district administration has sealed the Rishikesh Vegetable Market complex till June 24. This decision has been taken in view of the possibility of corona infection outbreak among the shopkeepers of Mandi.

District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava issued its orders on Wednesday night. At the same time, all the traders, laborers and workers of the mandi will remain quarantined in their homes.

The District Magistrate said that this decision has been taken in view of the security of shopkeepers, laborers, employees and customers. The Secretary of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee has been instructed to quarantine everyone, including shopkeepers.

Community Monitoring Instructions

During this time, barricading and police will be deployed on all the routes under the area. Also, all shops, establishments and offices etc. will remain closed. The Chief Medical Officer has been instructed to conduct community monitoring.

Told that the Municipal Corporation has been asked to carryout sanitation in Mandi. If there is an emergency, help can be sought on the police’s toll free number 112. Besides, the mandi secretary has been instructed to supply vegetables.

Information to be given in case of fever and flu like symptoms

DM said that if any  shopkeeper, laborer and employee of Mandi feel symptoms of cold, fever etc., then they will have to give immediate information to the administration, so that they will get immediate medical attention.
