50 CNG pumps to be opened in Dehradun

Gas Authority of India (GAIL) has prepared a draft of network of pipeline gas supply and CNG station in Dehradun. For the proposed 50 CNG stations in Doon, three separate areas have been set up in the city. According to GAIL CEO AK Jana, the company will work with local people to set up CNG stations. The network will be built on the basis of contract for 10 years or more for CNG station. Initiatives have been started for this. As soon as the project is realized, the huge gas cylinder will be a thing of the past. Also, instead of diesel-gasoline vehicles, CNG-driven vehicles will also be seen roaming on the streets.

Here are the CNG stations proposed

  • From ISBT Chowk, Dehradun to Rispna Bridge on Haridwar Bypass
  • Rispna Bridge to Dehradun-Haridwar Road before Railway Overbridge
  • From Divine Honda Showroom MDDA Office on Saharanpur Road

Pipes will be supplied in 3 lakh houses

This project will set up a CNG supply network in 3088 sq. Km area of ​​Dehradun. It will include Chakrata, Dehradun, Doiwala, Kalsi, Rishikesh, Tyuni, Vikasnagar area. An investment of Rs 17.55 crore is proposed in this 25-year project. 50 CNG gas stations will be built in the city. CNG will be supplied to the three lakh families through pipeline.

Industries will benefit, environment will survive

From Delhi to Doon this pipeline will come via Meerut-Haridwar. This area will be developed as a CNG Corridor. Gas will be supplied to the industries along with fuel gas in the houses. Due to natural fuels, it will also help to keep the environment safe in Dehradun.

Hotels, restaurants will also be joined by CNG network from Dehradun. Dehradun is also important in terms of tourism. There is also a lot of fuel consumption in hotel-restaurant. The CNG project will also connect hotels and restaurants of Mussoorie and Rishikesh with the urban area of ​​Dehradun.

This project will provide cheap and environment friendly cheap clean fuel infrastructure for better living standards for the people of Dehradun. This will create new employment opportunities for the locals.
