Uttarakhand weather update: Rain and snowfall expected in seven districts during next 24 hours
Apart from the capital Dehradun, there is a possibility of rain in Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar in the next 24 hours. Along with this, there may be snowfall in the higher places. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert regarding this. On the other hand, meteorologists have expressed the possibility of lightning accompanied by thunder in some areas.
According to Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, the capital and surrounding areas will be cloudy. There is a possibility of rain in some areas. At the same time, the maximum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees and the minimum is 11 degrees.
Cold increases after rains in Mussoorie
The weather took a turn in the city on Friday and there was light rain in the afternoon. This once again increased the cold due to the drop in temperature. Due to slight heat since last few days, people had also packed warm clothes. But, due to sudden rain and increased cold, the warm clothes were taken out once again. In Mussoorie, the maximum temperature dropped to eight degrees.
Snowfall in high altitude areas
In Chamoli district, the weather changed on Friday afternoon and there was snowfall in other high altitude areas including Auli, Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Ghangaria, Valley of Flowers, Gairson. On the other hand, it rained intermittently in the low-lying areas. As soon as the evening came, the process of rain and snowfall started again.
