20 percent rebate in house tax till February 29
House tax rebate of 20 percent will now be available till 29 February. Municipal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey issued the order. The city commissioner said that house tax is yet to come from the settlements. So they should get the benefit of discount and for a few more days. In such a situation, the date of tax exemption for all residential and commercial buildings of the city has been made on 29 February. The city commissioner claimed that the target of 50 crore house tax collection would be achieved by next month. This figure has crossed 40 crores.
One and a half crore bill of service tax to FRI
The Municipal Corporation is also working to collect service tax along with house tax. In this series, the Municipal Corporation has sent a service tax bill of one and a half crore for the last and current financial year. Earlier, FRI has also collected service tax.
Submit tax on message on phone
Settlements have a somewhat different method of taxing. The corporation has filled the forms of all the people, documents of people who are coming are being scanned. People can go to cyber cafes and get their records scanned. After the record is scanned, the message is being sent to the concerned people to collect tax in their mobile. People should pay tax as soon as it arrives.
