Schools in Dehradun to remain close on August 25 due to heavy rain forecast

Given the forecast of heavy rains, all Anganwadi centers and schools till class 12th in Dehradun district will remain closed on Saturday, August 25. District Magistrate In-charge GS Rawat said that one day holiday has been declared in all government and private schools in Dehradun . He has instructed Chief Administrative Officer SB Joshi to ensure compliance with the order.
In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has expressed apprehensions of heavy rains for the next 24 hours. Especially in seven districts, there will be heavy rain. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert. Along with this, the additional areas of Kumaon have been asked for additional vigilance.
