Sridevi’s ashes immersed in Ganga in Haridwar
The body of the late actress Sridevi was immersed in the Ganga on Thursday by her husband, Boney Kapoor. During this, Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor appeared to be emotional. After immersion, Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and politician Amar Singh reached the guest house of Damkothi. After this he appeared in the Harihar temple located in Kankhal. At five o’clock they left for Dehradun.
Sridevi’s family arrived at Jollygrant Airport of Dehradun at 12:50 PM. From there they reached Haridwar by road. On Thursday afternoon, at around 2:30 pm, six members of the family including Bonnie Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, politician Amar Singh and fashion designer Manish Malhotra reached VIP Ghat situated in Haridwar. After offering prayers to river Ganga, rituals were performed on VIP Ghat. After 15 minutes of worship, the ashes of departed Sridevi were flown in the Ganges. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Agriculture Minister Subodh Uniyal and Haridwar Mayor Manoj Garg were also present. Large officers of the police and administration are also accompanying. Strict security arrangements were made.
